The brick work was supplied by John Anderson and the stone work by John Diebold, both of this city. John B. Ford and his New Albany Glass Works were contracted for the glass. The establishment was operated as a hotel from 1871 thru 1994 under numerous owners and at least 10 name changes. The business took the name,The Windsor Hotel, in 1885.
